On the Banks of a River

Updated: Feb 5, 2021

On the banks of a river

Spirit soars

Body clears

Mind vanishes

The sky looks for me

I am not to be found

That home from which words arise

Unto which words subside

The place the mind begins its journey

yet no mind reaches

More intimate than my own breath

More elusive than this moment

is you

is me

On the banks of a river
